Flaash vs Netlify
Netlify is a full Jamstack platform built around Git-based CI/CD. If you just have static files to host, here's how it compares to a browser upload host.

Netlify is one of the most complete platforms for building and deploying Jamstack sites. Connect a Git repository and it runs a CI/CD build on every push, generates a preview URL for every branch, and layers serverless functions and form handling on top of the static output. For a real application with a build pipeline, that's a strong, mature setup.
Netlify also ships Netlify Drop, a separate drag-and-drop tool for getting a quick disposable link. It's handy, but it's a side feature bolted onto a much bigger platform - not something built to hold an ongoing project.
Flaash vs Netlify at a glance
| Flaash | Netlify | |
|---|---|---|
| Deploy method | Drag & drop folder/zip, or paste HTML | Git-connected CI/CD (plus a separate Drop tool for one-off files) |
| Setup required | None - open browser, upload | Connect Git provider, configure build |
| Free tier | 1 project, no card required | Generous bandwidth, one concurrent build |
| Custom domain | Not available - *.flaash.live only |
Yes, with free SSL |
| SSL | On by default, immediately | Yes |
| Best for | A static folder with no build step | Framework apps with ongoing Git workflows |
Where Flaash is simpler
There's no Git repository to create, no build settings to confirm, and no dashboard built around build logs and deploy previews. You open the browser, drop the files you already have, and get a live link back. Projects and variants give you separate staging and production copies without needing a branch behind each one.
Where Netlify is the better choice
If your project has an actual build step - a framework, serverless functions, form handling, or Git-triggered previews per branch - Netlify's platform is doing real work a plain upload host can't replace. Custom domains aren't available on Flaash right now, either; every project gets a flaash.live subdomain, so if you need your own domain live immediately, Netlify covers that where Flaash currently doesn't.
Frequently asked questions
Is Netlify Drop the same thing as Flaash? Not quite. Drop is a manual, disposable-link feature inside a much larger CI/CD platform. Flaash is built as the primary workflow, with projects, variants, and persistent live URLs meant to stick around.
Can I use Flaash for a static export from a framework? Yes, if the framework produces plain HTML/CSS/JS with no server-side rendering needed at runtime. Build locally or in CI, then upload the output folder.
Do I need Netlify's preview URLs if I'm not using Git? Not in the same form. A project's variants on Flaash give you an equivalent - separate live URLs for separate versions of a site - without a Git branch behind each one.
